On Thursday, August 17, the Wichita Chapter of SFTE held a tech talk. Chapter member Dave Wellbrock gave a great presentation on Textron Aviation Engineering and Defense Flight Test's efforts to implement FTE and Test Pilot training. In addition, he discussed the recurring Safety training to keep flight test crew members current on skills such as egress, survival, and hypoxia recognition/mitigation. 

 

Attendees included representatives from Textron, Bombardier and NIAR Werx in person, plus there were several virtual attendees on Microsoft Teams, including representatives from the FAA and Garmin. After his presentation Ben Hirsh (chapter secretary/treasurer) and Josh Bosire (chapter president) presented Dave with a Technical Presentation award as a thank you for his hard work.
