Pax River Chapter: SFTE Birthday Celebration

On December 4, 2024, the Pax River chapter hosted a special SFTE Birthday Celebration & Awardee Recognition event to commemorate 56 years of the Society of Flight Test Engineers. Guests enjoyed appetizers, cake, and a toast to honor the outstanding achievements of our members and workforce.

Dave Roberts, our newest SFTE Fellow, delivered an inspiring keynote speech, reflecting on his career as a flight test engineer and sharing valuable insights. The following awardees were also recognized during the event:
- 2023 NTWL FTE of the Year Award – Bryan Swauger, UX-24
- John E. Burdette Award – John Lohr
- NDIA Civilian Tester of the Year for 2023 – Carla Jackson
- Kelly Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award – Carla Jackson
