Rocky Mountain Chapter - Facility Tour at Boom Supersonic
The Society of Flight Test Engineers Rocky Mountain Chapter recently hosted a behind-the-scenes facility tour at Boom Supersonic in Centennial, Colorado, followed by a networking social. Attendees included a strong mix of flight test professionals, engineers, and industry partners, all eager to learn more about Boom’s work in advancing supersonic travel. The tour provided a unique look inside the company’s development efforts, offering insight into the design, testing, and innovation driving the future of high-speed flight. Shown is a model of the Overture vehicle and the propulsion core (which will also be used to generate electricity for data centers and fund Overture development).
Following the tour, the group continued the conversation at a nearby social gathering, where members had the opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and expand their professional networks. The event was a great success, combining exclusive access with meaningful engagement, and highlighted the value of bringing together the flight test community in dynamic, real-world environments.
