The aim of the SFTE Recommended Practices Committee is to raise standards in the field of flight testing, specifically with regard to the training of flight test engineers. An independent assessment process has established that the training standards, the associated procedures and the practices followed by the DLR in this field are exemplary.

The certificate was presented during the symposium organized by the European Chapter of the SFTE in Berlin. DLR is the first organization in Europe and the third worldwide to receive this award.
